Fivem is a popular multiplayer modification framework for Grand Theft Auto V, allowing players to create and join customized multiplayer servers. One of the significant features enhancing gameplay and realism in Fivem servers is the speed warning radar. This article delves into the intricacies of Fivem speed warning radars, their functionality, and their impact on the gaming experience.
This premium resource is a great addition to any roleplay server, adding speed warning radars around the city. These intelligent devices detect the speed of traffic approaching it, if they are speeding, the sign will turn on and flash, alerting the driver to slow down. The resource is highly configurable and you can easily add more signs. We’ve pre-installed over 60 speed warning radars in the configuration file, making this easy to install and use.
The resource contains the ability to use MPH/KM/H simply in the configuration file and we provide cameras for 30, 40, 50 & 60 MPH / KM/H zones. Adding radars is as simple as choosing the coordinates and the limit. The resource includes several addon, custom props created by Adam Fenton. We’d like to thank him for working with us on this release.
Usage
- This script works by detecting a speeding vehicle. As you approach any speed radar around the map, your speed is calculated. If that speed exceeds the limit configured for that radar, it will activate turning on a slow down sign along with the limit and alternating orange lights will flash to make you aware you are speeding. Once you respond by slowing down, the radar will turn off. It will also turn off once you drive away even if you didn’t slow down.
Full Features Vehicle Activated
- These activate upon the presence of a speeding vehicle and deactivate when the vehicle is no longer speeding, or has left the area. Realistic
- We’ve designed our radars like real-life, with alternating flashing orange lights along with a slow down message. Multiple speed limits
- This resource supports 30, 40, 50 and 60 mph or km/h limits. Emissive / Bright
- These signs are emissive, making them effective both at night and during the day, controlling speed at all hours in the city. Highly configurable
- This is one of our most configurable resources yet, allowing you to adjust everything such as changing from mph to km/h and much more. Add additional radars
- In the config file, you can easily add more speed warning radar locations by defining the coordinates and the limit, when the script starts, they are all generated.

Here are some of the benefits of using:
- Encourages realistic driving: Players are prompted to follow speed limits, creating a more immersive experience.
- Boosts police interaction: Police officers can pull over speeders based on radar readings, leading to roleplay opportunities like citations or chases.
- Improves server safety: By discouraging speeding, accidents and reckless driving are reduced, creating a safer environment for all players.
